- Quiet Environment: Keep noise levels low and speak softly to ensure a restful atmosphere.
- Emergency Situations: Follow all staff instructions during emergencies or special circumstances.
- Cooperation:Visitors may occasionally be asked to step out of a patient’s room during care procedures.
For Outpatient Visitors: What to Expect
When visiting as an outpatient, you can expect:
- Registration: Patients begin by registering at the front desk
- Triage: A nurse assesses vital signs and determines the relevance of the visit to the physician.
- Consultation: A 20–30 minute session with a physician allows for a thorough medical history, physical examination, and discussion of any required tests (e.g., lab work or imaging).
- Treatment Plan: Patients receive personalized care, including medication, therapy, or specialist referrals. Follow-up appointments and check-ins are scheduled as necessary.
Patient Responsibilities
To help us provide the best care, patients are encouraged to:
- Use the call bell if their condition changes or they need assistance.
- Inform the doctor of all medications they are taking, including over-the-counter drugs.
- Notify the doctor of any allergies or adverse reactions to medications.
- Share comprehensive health information with the physician.
- Consult with a nurse before leaving the room; otherwise, remain in the room for safety.
