WHC was conceptualized as a result of the shareholders’ deep understanding of the demand for high-quality healthcare service in Ethiopia and their commitment to contribute towards catering to such needs. Cognizant of the fact that the public sector alone cannot attain the strategy of accelerated economic growth and poverty reduction, the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) has committed itself to increase the role of the private sector by steadily improving its policies. Persuaded by the present conducive government policies, and recognizing the requirements.
Washington Health Care facilities (WHC) are specialized secondary care health facilities managed and staffed by Ethiopian, American, and other doctors of foreign nationalities who are committed to providing quality and affordable healthcare for all. The healthcare centers are established under Washington Healthcare (subsidiary company, Washington Healthcare limited liability company (LLC) in Washington D. C., United States of America). It offers a range of specialty medical services for its clients in Ethiopia and beyond. Our Clinicians provide a wide range of skills and qualities but with the common goal to deliver first-class health care tailored to our patients need.
The specialty centers of Washington Health care are all certified by the Ministry of Health and other competent regulatory bodies for fulfilling the new ‘Ethiopian Government Standard Authority Health Facility Minimum Standard Requirement (Ethiopian Standard ES 3619:2012)’, for specialty medical centers and are licensed to operate, accordingly currently at 2 locations (Bole Rwanda and Bole Bulbula areas). The company is owned and managed by a group of physicians who have decades of experience in healthcare service provision and management with training and exposure to international standards.
