WHC Pharmacy provides prescription medications to its patients (outpatient and admitted ones) and other patients who come from other health facilities throughout Addis. The pharmacy unit thrives by employing friendly and knowledgeable personnel, which, along with our great prices, will drive the repeat business that we will rely upon.
Our pharmacy keeps stock of various prescription medications available on the market and keeps a record of each transaction by electronic inventory management. The pharmacy operates from a central store that serves both outpatient customers and those who are admitted.
The highly skilled and experienced pharmacists at WHC are responsible for compounding and dispensing medications to patients. They would also help our patients by providing information on drugs; reviewing medication interaction, safety and efficacy; and side effects. Our pharmacists work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals at WHC. They advise doctors in determining the best possible treatment for specific diseases and ensure that the patient understands the medication and any side effects and/or drug interactions. They may go on rounds with the attending physician to specific wards; this allows them to have direct interactions with patients. During the encounter, they educate patients on medication use, side effects, and restrictions on diet and over-the-counter medications.
